PRP in Fort Lauderdale
PRP uses growth factors from your own blood to amplify what your body already knows how to do — make collagen, repair skin, and stimulate hair follicles. Dr. Green uses PRP for face rejuvenation, under-eye texture, acne scarring, and hair restoration.
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is the concentrated platelet portion of your own blood. Platelets carry growth factors that direct tissue repair, collagen formation, and follicle activity. After a small blood draw and centrifuge spin, Dr. Green injects the concentrate directly into the area being treated — under the eyes, into acne scars, across the face, or throughout thinning scalp areas.
- Under-eye hollowing, texture, and dark circles
- Indented acne scarring
- Crepey skin texture across the face
- Diffuse hair thinning (female and male pattern)
- Postpartum hair shedding
- Patients seeking a regenerative approach using their own biology
Dr. Green draws a small blood sample (about as much as routine bloodwork). While it spins, your skin or scalp is numbed. The PRP is then injected into the target area. Total appointment time about an hour.
Mild swelling or bruising possible for a few days. Most patients return to work same day. Results build over 4–8 weeks as collagen or follicle activity responds.
Price varies
PRP works best as a series. A typical protocol is 3–4 sessions spaced a month apart, with maintenance every 6–12 months.
PRP for face vs. for hair — is it the same protocol?
Same concentrate, different delivery. For face we inject into specific areas (under-eyes, scars, fine line zones). For hair we inject across thinning scalp regions. Dr. Green will discuss whether a combination makes sense for you.
When will I see hair restoration results?
Most patients notice less shedding within the first month and visible density change at 3–4 months. Full result at six months.
Is it the same as a 'vampire facial'?
Vampire facial usually refers to PRP applied topically with microneedling. PRP injections deliver the same concentrate directly into deeper tissue. We can do either — or both.
Will it work for me?
For hair, PRP works best when there are still follicles to stimulate — not for areas of complete loss. For face, PRP responds best in patients whose tissue can still rebuild. Dr. Green will assess and tell you honestly.
Microneedling — Face, Neck, Scalp
Collagen-induction microneedling for face, neck, and scalp. Performed by Dr. Green (face and scalp, optional PRP) or Megan at MP Skin Studio (FDA-cleared SkinPen on face, neck, and décolleté).
Sculptra
A bio-stimulator that prompts your skin to make its own collagen. Subtle, gradual, long-lasting.
Dermal Fillers
Hyaluronic acid fillers — Restylane, Juvéderm, Versa — placed where you need them, in the amounts you need.
